Machine learning intern

We are looking for an intern for the Machine Learning department, starting in November / December 2023. The position is based in Basel (Switzerland) in an English speaking environment.

Axom provides 2 solutions based on machine learning: counting and visual inspection stations, to the pharmaceutical and animal health industries to provide patients with the right drugs without defects. Counting station is already distributed to leading pharmaceutical companies providing precise reconciliation in their production lines. Visual Inspection Station is under R&D and it's used to detect particles suspended in injectable medications and to identify other production defects.

The daily routine will be to:

• Create a datasets with photoshoots, labelling and image augmentations
• Launch trainings, configure models and familiarise yourself with the current process
• Identify potential improvements to data collection, training or analysis of the models

We are a start-up and we expect people to be autonomous and to take initiatives. Our interns take responsibility for their project and contribute their own ideas. We are very open to new ideas in the team, and there are no limits in testing new things!

The salary is 1500 CHF per month.

We are looking for a salesperson that will help us reach German speaking customers. Our technology and solution is above the market and we need to ensure that customers know about us.

Your daily tasks will be the following:

• Contact customers, meet them and tell them about us

Senior developer

We are a Swiss startup specialized in deep learning computer vision for the health industry. We are helping our customers to improve the quality of the medicine delivered to patients while reducing the hardship for the operators.

As we found our niche, we are currently building a standardized product. Thus we are in dire need for some experience people to help us building a scalable software.

What we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an experienced employee to join us in Basel. The job involves Python and TS coding as well as some architecture. As we are a small and growing structure get ready to do other tasks depending on your performance and expectations.

Here are the main challenges that you will be facing :

• Adapt the Python to other business cases
• Ensure the processing of bigger amounts of data
• Deal with a more complex workflow (multi GPU, pre processing)
• Provide architecture and best practices advice
• Provide support to interns / juniors
• Improve the CI/CD process
• Integrate the latest deep learning algorithm trained by the ML team in the solution
• Ensure the solution stays scalable

You will have to:

• Code (from specification to unit / functional testing)
• Discuss and challenge current architecture and structure the code
• Support planning and organisation
• Support deployment
• Train and help juniors / interns
• Manage dependencies especially ML/GPU related libraries
• Write unit tests and documentation to ensure scalable solution
